Nail Polish Sandwiching-Simple yet effective.

Lately there has been a new nail polish trend called "nail polish sandwiching". It is where you get two different colours of polish that contrast well together and layer them on top of each other, with a thin enough coat so you can see the colour underneath.

It is very simple but looks great. Some great combinations include orange layered on red or silver on pink.

Here is my attempt at trying sandwiching for the first time.

I did two coats of Jordana 046 Raspberry and one thin coat on top of Rubi "Disco Inferno".
I liked the look of it, a stunning silver shimmer with a pink tinge to it.

Let me know what you think, nail polish sandwiching, yay or nay?

~Easter Nail Art Tutorial~

Hey everyone!! It's Pretty 'N' Polish Alyssa here with a new Easter nail tutorial. Lets get started, First I like to draw out my design like so:

What you will need:
Pink Nail polish (I am using Rimmel London 60 seconds Funtime Fuchsia)
Clear coat nail polish
Orange nail polish (I am using orange acrylic as I find it easier to paint with)
Yellow nail polish (I am using yellow acrylic)
White nail polish (Or white acrylic)
Black Nail polish (I am using BYS brand)
and pink nail glitter

Start off with a clear coat to protect your nails, then add your Pink nail Polish on every finger.

When it is dried, on your finger closest to your thumb add two yellow dots diagonal like in the photo.

Then draw two orange lines at the bottom of the yellow circles (These are the feet) then add an orange beak. (see photo)

When it has completely dried add a black dot for the eye, feel free to outline your duck too. I used Artline200 fine 0.4. It works very well.

On all the left over fingers (excluding your thumb) draw white paw prints simply by doing one big dot and three dots around. (see photo)

On your thumb you can clear coat it once the pink nail polish has dried and sprinkle glitter all over it. Don't forget to clear coat the rest of your nails for that shine!!
